Sunflower Electric Power Corporation is the wholesale power provider to Pioneer Electric. Sunflower Electric is owned by Pioneer Electric and five other electric cooperatives and serves 34 counties in western Kansas.
Pioneer Electric is a part of the Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (KEC). KEC is a statewide service organization for Kansas electric cooperatives.
Pioneer Electric is part owner of High Plains Energy, LLC. High Plains Energy, LLC provides propane delivery services throughout much of western Kansas and parts of Oklahoma and also offers Cyclo-Rinse air filter cleaning services. Pioneer Electric is a partner in the venture with one other electric cooperative.
HD Supply, Inc. is an electric utility supplier that Pioneer Electric has partnered with to warehouse onsite materials. HD Supply, Inc. has become one of the nation’s largest diversified wholesale distributors. HD Supply, Inc. is helping Pioneer Electric Cooperative, Inc. meet the demands of our member-owners through innovative solutions and smart product selections.
The mission of the Kansas Corporation Commission is to protect public interest through the impartial and efficient resolution of all jurisdictional issues. The KCC regulates rates, service and safety of public utilities, common carriers and motor carriers as well as oil and gas production by protecting correlative rights and environmental resources.
Pioneer Electric is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative. Touchstone Energy is an alliance of 660 cooperatives in 46 states that collectively deliver power to more than 30 million consumers every day. This nation wide network of electric coops is dedicated to bringing added value and benefits to all consumers.
The Rural Utilities Service helps rural utilities expand and extend their service to new rural members through new lines and substations. RUS also helps establish new and vital services. The RUS forges public-private sector partnerships that result in billions of dollars in rural infrastructure development and creates thousands of jobs for the American economy.
The National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative represents telecom and IT interests of over one thousand rural utilities and affiliates in 46 states. The NRTC helps rural electric and telephone utilities strengthen their businesses with solutions uniquely suited to the needs of rural consumers.
The National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation is a privately-owned, non-governmental organization that provides state-of-the-art financial products and business management services to more than 1,050 electric cooperatives across the United States.
National Information Solutions Cooperative is an information technology company that develops and supports software and hardware solutions for their Member/Owners across the nation. NISC provides Pioneer Electric solutions for consumer billing, accounting, engineering and operations, as well as more than 75 other IT solutions.
Pioneer Electric is a member of the Cooperative Research Network. The CRN provides technical tools and business information, research and revenue generating opportunities to electric coops.
Pioneer Electric and CoBank share a strategic alliance in lending opportunities. CoBank is a rural America cooperative bank, specializing in cooperative, agribusiness, rural communication and energy systems financing.
